Kubernetes Days Prague 2024: Gabriel Illés on Observability with OpenTelemetry
We're just back from Kubernetes Days Prague 2024, where our Senior DevOps Engineer, Gabriel Illés, took the stage to present "Observability with OpenTelemetry Collector in distributed cloud and edge computing."
In his talk, Gabriel walked through the challenges and strategies for implementing observability in complex environments, using the OpenTelemetry Collector. Distributed cloud and edge deployments spread workloads across many locations and runtimes — and getting consistent, reliable telemetry out of them is far from trivial. The OpenTelemetry Collector sits at the heart of a vendor-neutral approach to collecting, processing, and routing that telemetry.
It was a great opportunity to share what we've learned, swap notes with the wider Kubernetes and cloud-native community, and bring fresh ideas back to the team and our clients.
Observability, the way we build it
Reliable telemetry is part of how we run platforms for clients in regulated, high-stakes environments. If you're working through observability in distributed cloud or edge setups, we'd love to talk — explore our services or meet the team behind Grow2FIT.
